David of Ahmadinejad, the brother of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mayor of Tehran Baqer Qalibaf, Saturday, candidates for presidential elections to be held on June 14.
The President’s brother, said after nominating papers in the fifth and final day of recording the names of the candidates, that he would run for election independently, and his goal of running a service people only.
Polling is 14 June first presidential election in Iran since 2009 that saw popular protests known then as the “green movement” after the re-election of Ahmadinejad over reformist candidates Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi.
Iranian media said Qalibaf registration on the list of presidential candidates, is one of the elements of the Conservative coalition, composed of three persons who prefer called principles, follow Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Ahmadinejad’s opponents.
Among those filing papers to run our other coalition member, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel and about 400 other candidate whom the cleric Hassan Rowhani and former reformist Parliament Member Mostafa kvakbian, as well as Mohammed Aref, who was Deputy to former President Mohammad Khatami.
There are others would contest the presidential election, also including principles, Mohammed Hassan Abu torabi, former Health Minister baqeri lankarani Qumran, and Mohsen Rezai, who lost to Ahmadinejad 2009 elections.
There is a frantic speculation surrounding a number of potential candidates, including Mohammad Khatami, which formally did not rule out the possibility his candidacy, but he endorsed Friday former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, hoping to run the elections.
The 78-year-old Rafsanjani hinted that he might run in elections provided that the approval of the Supreme Leader.
