How to replace TEN with a dishwasher – 10 steps to success

If you do not heat the dishwasher and you are convinced that the heating element that has failed is to blame, you will have to replace it with a new one. Do it yourself or call the master – it’s up to you, we will only provide instructions on the replacement of the CHP in the dishwasher. This will allow you to understand whether you can cope and, in fact, what all the work consists of.

Preparatory work

First of all, before you replace you have to prepare a small set of tools that includes:

Passages;
flat and cross screwdriver;
It’s a shilling.
Multimeter.
In addition, you need a new TEN, which you have to buy in advance. Keep in mind that the heating elements are indiscriminate (fixed in the heating unit) and disassembled. If there are no fastening elements on the case, then in your case the first version of execution and will have to replace the entire block. Sometimes it is enough to dismantle the TEN from the heating unit and replace only the heater itself.

The basic process

Repairing the dishwasher

Remove the sprinkler, which is installed at the bottom of the dishwasher. To do this, pull the sprinkler up.

Twist the filter installed under the sprinkler, immediately remove the stainless mesh.

Unscrew the screws that hold the pipe and the heating unit itself.
Turn the dishwasher upside down and provide access to the heating element. If the dishwasher is standing free, you need to remove the back wall, if built – the panel.

Dismantle the pump. To do it is quite simple – you just need to twist it clockwise and pull to the side. Everything is done without much effort. Don’t forget to unplug the sensor, clamp and pipe.

Stick your hand under the body and dismantle the rubber fastener that holds the TEN, as well as the hose.

Carefully remove the non-functioning heater.

Replace the TEN with a new one and assemble the dishwasher in reverse order.
