damaged garage door replacement

After a certain cycle of operation of sectional gates, scheduled maintenance is required, usually after several years of operation. It includes adjustment, lubrication, checking the tension of the springs, the level of the gate, inspecting cables, rollers, inspecting rubber seals.

Periodically, torsion springs, rollers, seals and cables need to be replaced. This can be due to both wear and tear of the material. The procedure for replacing torsion springs involves an almost complete disassembly of the torsion mechanism, followed by a full cycle of adjustment of the mechanism itself, gates and automation.

When replacing a spring, you need to know its diameter and length. You should also check the setting of the “automatics” if it is set, the position for opening and closing, (adjustment of limit switches, tractive effort). The most expensive repair of sectional gates is the replacement of sections of the gate, i.e. (sandwich panels). Usually, in case of damage, the entire blow falls on the lowest section of the gate canvas, after which the rollers can be wedged and the gate ceases to work normally.

Regardless of the operating conditions, all types of gates and their automation need periodic repair. Faults of the gate can be explained by the high intensity of their operation, the use of low-quality components during installation, as well as an unprofessionally performed installation. Garage door repairs are also required if the weather conditions were particularly extreme.
