Garmin Nuvi 1390T Review – Purses and bags all over the world to get heavier every day . The more gadgets we learn more , we want to carry with us . GPS navigators used to be attributed to staying in the car, even when parked. The best thing you could do was remove the device from its mount and hide it under the seat , console or glove compartment . Any rascal immediately know what was expensive prize waiting inside.

Time goes gadgets are getting better and better. They are smaller , more powerful and able to do more things. In the Garmin Nuvi GPS navigators are no different. The latest model was announced and called Garmin Nuvi 1390T. One of the most notable changes in this model is thinness . This fat little over half an inch . I love it. Any gadget that thin can easily fit into any bag side pocket . Shoot – it’s slim enough to fit in most any pocket. It weighs less than six ounces so it will not add enough extra weight to notice .

Bluetooth technology it should be. Now, when the hands-free calling and talking on cell phones is strictly regulated so it would be unwise not to insist , Bluetooth.

Widescreen is another feature that I say is a must. The more you can see the card , the better. Small parts on the screen and navigation easier to use on the touch screen . Device Nuvi 1390T 4.3 – inch widescreen touch screen also . Easy to read in sunlight , anyone who tried to use a cell phone , a computer or GPS without such a screen knows how important this function .

No assembly required . City Navigator North America NT and maps preloaded and ready to use immediately . Millions (POI) points of interest also preloaded . Of course, you can add your own as well. Maps are either 2 -D or 3 -D. Voice instructions ( text to speech) to tell you the names of streets , highway exits , roads and places. Oh, and about those POI, you can set up alerts to remind you before you get to them.

Lane Assist is a fairly new feature found on some models and Nuvi GPS 1390T is no different. It really makes one better. “Junction View” displays a realistic view of the road detail and road signs .

 

At this point you might ask , what else do offer this little gem ?

· Multi- point routing – organizes several routes into one efficient route

¯ pedestrian navigation – CityXplorer ( option if available) will take you to public transport, such as buses , trains, trams , etc.

· Where am I? – Entries , exactly where you are at any given time . This is a great opportunity to finish you need to get to the nearest hospital or police station . It shows your exact location (longitude and latitude ) . He remembers where you parked your car – as soon as the 1390T is removed from its mounting location is recorded .

· HotFix Satellite Prediction – Saves time , remembering Satellite coordinates from one session to another . It usually takes a period of time to buy Nuvi satellite location – not necessary with HotFix

· EcoRoute – Offers you fuel efficient routes . Then gives you fuel and mileage reports , so you can analyze your driving.

· Garmin Connect Photos – Download geo-located photos in Nuvi1390T, that can be viewed on Google Earth

· Warns of speed limits for most major roads

· Other features typically found on Garmin Nuvi GPS Navigators – image viewer, calculator, currency converter , measurement converter, MicroSD card slot , Garmin Lock and MSN Direct compatibility

Personally, I like this new Garmin Nuvi 1390T. Small size is great , features are advanced and the price is very reasonable (about $ 400). I think I have enough space left in my bag .
