Fiberglass with epoxy resin

The application of fiberglass resin epoxy is a simple process. Resin epoxy comes in a mixture of two parts with adhesive contained in a mixture and the hardener on the other. When mixtures are combined, were very quickly, making it ideal for fiberglass. The most important thing to remember is that you should apply the resin quickly until it dries and work with small amounts of resin.

Apply a coat of finish on the last layer of fiberglass. Apply a layer of resin on the layer filled with a brush. Allow to fiberglass which is dry for 24 hours. Sand the fiberglass slightly with an orbital Sander to smooth the surface of the resin.

A fiberglass tub is sealed with a bead of putty around the edges. If the putty is not removed the unwanted parts of the bathtub, you can dry and become very hard. This is ugly to the eye and uncomfortable for stepping on showering. This problem is solved with a little effort, a razor blade and a bit of WD-40.

Spray the affected areas with a generous coat of WD-40. Let stand for 20 minutes. The WD-40 will be absorbed into the putty and loosen it.

Use a razor blade to scrape off any dried putty areas. Hold the knife razor between finger and thumb. Scrape blade shaving in the bathtub surface, holding it at an angle low so no scratches glass fiber. Periodically clean the razor blade in a cloth to remove the blade putty.

Apply tape packing to the affected areas, gently press on the skin to remove the fiberglass, and carefully pull it if nothing else works. Be careful when applying tape to areas with a large amount of hair, since it could get away with tape.
