African military leaders discuss crisis in the northern town of Kidal, Mali

Leaders called the armies of States members of the Group West Africa Saturday to settle the question of Kidal, northern Mali, which reject the MNLA, Mali’s army, questioning whether the rebel movement must be considered anymore an “enemy”.

Saturday’s meeting focused on the process of integration of the African force, comprising 6,300 men of West Africa and Chad, the United Nations Mission established at the end of April by the international organization to bring stability to northern Mali and known simply as “minosma”.
In another development, the United Nations Mission in Mali that the Commander of the international peacekeeping force in Mali General Yahya Sene Garba was found dead in his room at his hotel in the capital, Bamako.
Maybe a statement issued late Saturday that General Garba had died of a heart attack.
