Insulation of walls Insulating walls foam

Energy resources are one of the main sources of creating favorable microclimatic conditions in apartments, private homes, production facilities, as well as optimal conditions for running technological processes. Inefficient use of thermal energy, its constant increase in price leads to an increase in heating tariffs. To reduce the cost of maintaining buildings, structures, houses, apartments, more and more consumers are thinking about the issue of their insulation. This allows to significantly reduce costs, create acceptable living conditions, conduct certain technological operations, improve the appearance of buildings, extend their life. You can achieve the predicted result only if you choose the insulation correctly and perform the quality of the work on its installation.

Senopoliuretan is an innovative insulation for all surfaces

Senopoliuretan (PPU) is a relatively new but already well-established material that can be used to insulate any buildings and structures, both under construction and repairable. Insulation of the walls outside, inside, sealing roofs, internal structures, technological equipment allows to reduce heat loss by up to 70%.

Elastospray’s foam systems have a closed-lying cessic structure. Components of this system are obtained as a result of an exothermal reaction between isocyanate and polyolic component. During spraying (at the final stage of the reaction of these components) foam is formed, which is grasped with the surface, and for a few minutes completely hardens.

Apply on the outer walls of the PPU in this way it is necessary with a special pistol in several layers to form the required thickness of the insulation. This seamless way of thermal insulation of various structures can replace almost all ways of arrangement of ceilings, floors, roofs (pitched and flat), regardless of their design features, shapes.

Features of the use of PPU

The insulation of walls and other surfaces of Elastospray/Elastopor H foaming systems is done by pouring or spraying. This material covers the base with a uniform, continuous layer without the formation of seams, gaps. It penetrates into joints, bumps, pits, cracks, which prevents the formation of bridges of cold. PPU is an ideal solution for surfaces with a variety of shapes, as it is able to adapt to any geometric shapes.

The Elastospray system is suitable for several tasks when used on facades:

Insulation
Waterproofing
Decorative design
strengthening structures, extending their lifespan.
PPUs is used for insulation:

flat, sloping roofs;
Roofs – inside and out;
ceilings, basement floors;
technological tanks, storage facilities, agricultural facilities, and other facilities.

The method of spraying PPUs is the same for the internal and external method of insulation. Compared to other solutions used to isolate surfaces, this option is more efficient at production costs. At the same time, the same thickness of the insulation layer differs significantly lower parameters of thermal conductivity.

Insulation of walls Insulating walls foam

The closed porous structure of the PPP cells provides the lowest possible water absorption, which allows to effectively protect the base from low, high outdoor temperatures, provides reliable insulation from precipitation.

Senopoliuretan after application to the surface and its full hardening is covered with special protective varnishes, providing protection against ultraviolet radiation.

Benefits of Styrofoam Elastospray

Elastospray supopoliuretan has the highest insulation rates. It has the lowest thermal conductivity among other types of insulation. To insulate the walls of the PPU, it is worth paying attention to its merits.

No stitches or gaps

During the application of the foam, a solid layer of insulation is created without the formation of gaps and seams. This significantly reduces the loss of heat energy, as bridges of cold do not form. At the same time, it is possible to achieve almost complete sealing of insulated surfaces and in general the entire room. Foam penetrates all the cracks, seams, cracks, fills them, as it is endowed with the ability to expand many times.

Maximum insulation with minimal layer

Senopoliuretan has the lowest thermal conductivity rate among the insulations known today – 0.028 W/(M.C.). No other insulating material can reach such indicators. PPUs is applied in a much smaller layer, which saves space when using this type of insulation indoors.

Infiltration into hard-to-reach places

Spruation is an effective method of isolating critical, hard-to-reach structural parts of buildings. In this case, it is possible to avoid fitting, trim, the use of glue to fix the insulation on the insulated area. Styrofoam easily penetrates into corners, holes, covers joints, exit places of ventilation channels, mines, other structural elements. This wastes less time processing such sites, creating their quality insulation.

Adhesion
The Elastospray system has almost 100% adhesion to the base. The walls are insulated with foam by sticking it to the insulated surface. It becomes practically its “second skin”, which allows the use of this kind of insulation on any materials, their isolated base:

Wavy;
Cement;
Brick;
Concrete;
Wooden;
profiled metal and other surfaces (except polyethylene).
Extending the life of the building
The insulation of the walls of the house by styrofoam is an opportunity to extend the life of the building. Elastospray has a rigid, dense structure. It fills all chipped, cracked the surface, firmly binds them, prevents the penetration of the inside of the room dampness, moisture, cold air. It prevents the formation of mold, fungus, dampness, which has a beneficial effect on the life of structures insulated by this material.

Insulation speed

Elastospray is applied to any surface extremely quickly. Thermal insulation of walls, roofs under favorable conditions can be performed in one day. In this case, you can cover up to 1000 sq m with foam. m surface of the roof. This contributes to:

The use of specialized equipment for spraying PPUs;
Minimum time spent preparing surfaces
no need to apply a layer of primer, waterproofing, glue, insulation fit in size and shape.

A safe way to isolate

The insulation of the walls in Kiev is carried out by a certified company Edvans, which has many years of experience, and a staff of qualified specialists, all the necessary equipment. The use of modern high-tech equipment, continuous improvement of the ways of safe and high-quality work on insulation of buildings and facilities of the PPU allows a team of professionals to guarantee the accurate and economical expenditure of materials in compliance with the technology and with the provision of all safety conditions.

While working with PPU, specialists use all the protective equipment for respiratory, vision and special clothing provided by the technology. The equipment is used to work at altitude, the staff is trained in safe methods, and periodic safety training is carried out. Turning to The Edvans, you are guaranteed to get a high-quality insulating coating that will protect your home from cold, damp, moisture for many years.

Comfort indoors

Thermal insulation of the walls of residential buildings in Kiev is an opportunity to create comfortable living conditions. Residents of houses, production facilities, insulated by the specialists of “Edvans” foam Elastospray, note a significant improvement in the microclimate in the premises. It also reduces noise penetration, in winter the house gets warmer, in summer – cooler.

Small weight

The Elastospray system is approximately 90% composed of carbon dioxide bubbles sealed in small cells. Therefore, it is light, after its application there is no overload of structures. On the contrary, PPUs make them more stable, for example, the roof, under load caused by a accumulated layer of snow.

The practicality of storage and transportation

Liquid components of the mixture are delivered to the application site in separate containers that do not take up much space. Their mixing is done in a special device directly on the insulated object. The foaming of the system is carried out under high pressure at the moment of its spraying. This makes it much easier to transport and store the mixture components.

Features of Elastospray

PPU is used inside and outside buildings, it is quickly sprayed, also dries quickly, it is covered with plaster, cut with bricks, wood, other materials.

PREPARING THE FOUNDATION

The outer surface on which the PPU is applied is pre-heated, it is covered with a superficial waterproof layer of bitumen varnish, film, etc.

Insulation OF THE WALLS WHEN DOUBLE

When the outer surfaces are insulated with double masonry, Elastospray is sprayed on the inside of it. It serves as a protective layer and is used for outdoor masonry clinker brick, boot stone, etc.

Usually between the outer wall and the insulation create an air layer 3-4 cm thick. It is necessary for ventilation and drying of penetrating from outside moisture, precipitation.

When isolating the space behind the hinged facade with ventilated cladding, the PPU is used to protect the external components of the system from the influence of external natural factors.

ISISING THE WALLS of the FORADO

To install the hinged facade, metal fasteners are attached to the outer wall. Then Elastospray is sprayed on the surface. The type of cladding is selected wooden slats or a profile of metal for the installation of external cladding, which is mounted immediately after the foam dries. Moisture drying and ventilation is done using 2-4 cm wide airspace, which is created between PPUs and cladding.

INNER ISOLATION SALISS STEN

THE PPUs is applied between parts of the wooden frame structure to create an insulation layer. Due to the low thermal conductivity on the relatively thin walls it is possible to create high rates of insulation. The foam fastens the structures, additionally supports the entire wooden frame. This method of insulation allows you to quickly assemble and isolate the frame, create an individual design of the facade, guarantee the necessary air barrier.

Highlights of Elastospray foam

Elastospray’s excellent properties greatly expand the scope of its application. In addition to low thermal conductivity, it differs:

Frost- heat-resistant – can be operated within temperatures ranging from -50 to 140 degrees Celsius;
resistant to sea water, heavy acids, alkaline, mineral oils, gasoline diesel fuel, etc. alyphateic hydrocarbons;
High density – 33 to 60 kg/m cube;
excellent resistance to compression, on the layer of hardened foam you can walk, it does not sag, does not crack;
non-combustibility, self-extinguishing;
ecology – does not emit harmful substances, safety for people and animals (used for thermal insulation of refrigeration equipment, which houses food);
High noise insulating properties
Excellent waterproofing characteristics
PPU is not damaged by rodents, it does not appear mold, fungus.
Thanks to the professionalism of Edvans specialists, styrofoam insulation will be as efficient as possible and will provide the highest energy savings rates.

Insulation of the walls of the house begins from choosing the most suitable insulation, taking into account the price of its installation. To understand the better to insulate the house, it is worth looking at the main properties of other insulation materials:

Styrofoam;
Polystyrene;
Mineral waby;
Each of these insulations has its advantages and disadvantages.

Foam
It is a popular insulation designed for outdoor insulation structures. It has similar characteristics with Styrofoam, although in some positions lags behind it. Styrofoam is different:

Easy
A small price;
Easy to mount;
good insulating properties.
But also Styrofoam is endowed with some drawbacks:

High fragility
Fire danger;
The release of toxic substances during combustion;
over time, it begins to lose its insulating properties – in about 15-20 years.
Insulation of walls from the inside foam is undesirable, as it does not allow air, when burning emits toxins, significantly reduces the size of the room.

Styrofoam
This synthetic insulation for walls, ceilings has a composition similar to foam. Extruded Styrofoam is characterized by:

Waterproof;
Low thermal conductivity
Long-term service;
Underweight;
deformation resistance;
resistance to the effects of an aggressive environment.
Insulation with Styrofoam is used mainly for insulation of the walls outside, attic, basement snouts, etc.

When insulating the premises from the inside of Styrofoam, it is worth remembering that when heated above 80 degrees Celsius, it emits toxic substances that can cause serious poisoning. Therefore, the insulation of the walls from the inside of the foam experts do not recommend.

The negative sides of Styrofoam:

The price in Kiev and in Ukraine in general for sprayed PPUs is high;
Low sound insulation qualities
excretion of a large amount of particularly harmful substances when burning.

Mineral cotton wool

Minwata is a fibrous material with excellent insulation properties. It’s a natural wall insulation. It is made from minerals, so it is very environmentally friendly. Produce mineral cotton wool in rolls and slabs. It has the following advantages:

Providing reliable protection against heat loss
Fire resistance that meets the requirements of fire safety;
microbiological resistance, shows neutrality to the effects of chemicals;
high vaporistoft.

Installation of mineral waby, the subsequent application of plaster on it completely prevents the penetration of cold air into the premises through the bridges of cold. Minwata is an eco-friendly, safe insulation with high noise insulating characteristics.

The negative points should be attributed to shrinkage – over time, the minvata begins to sag, absorb moisture, which immediately leads to the loss of insulation characteristics. The installation of the minwatovis is complicated and time-consuming to perform these works.

The insulation of the walls from the inside of the mineral wool is practically not performed, as this method of insulation does not allow to create the necessary conditions of the microclimate. This insulation takes up a lot of space. It is almost impossible to create a dense fit of the insulation to the base, so the dew point will be shifted inside the room, which will negatively affect its condition: there will be mold, dampness, surfaces will begin to break down faster. When cladding walls with a mine, it is necessary to cover the walls with film to prevent moisture infiltration.

It is also possible to insulate the brick wall from the inside with concrete, but this option is used less frequently, as this method significantly reduces the size of insulated rooms.

Internal insulation of walls of concrete is not required if the blocks are thick more than 375 mm. But in this case, you can apply foam, which will create optimal conditions indoors without the need to apply a thick layer of insulation.

Based on the above positive and negative qualities of different insulations, foam-polyurethane can be considered the most suitable choice for external and internal insulation of different surfaces. Although THE PPU also has its drawbacks – high cost. Although the insulation of the walls, the price of which in Kiev is quite high, will pay off quickly with savings on heating. It should also be taken into account that there is no need for installation of PPUs:

Use a layer of waterproofing
Apply noise insulating components
Buy fasteners, glue to fix the insulation;
pre-apply a layer of plaster, primer.
This allows you to perform external insulation materials that allow not only to save money, but also time to perform work. Another drawback is the exposure to PPUs by the effects of ultraviolet light. But applying a layer of special varnish allows you to completely eliminate this problem.

Insulation of styrofoam facades allows you to update them with modern materials. Different types of decorative plaster and other facade materials can be applied to the PPU. It is also used to insulate walls from the inside – the thin layer of insulation does not significantly affect the reduction of their size.
